The Reunion

It’s been five years

Since the alumni met.

The last batch of the 90’s

Yearned to see each other’s smile.

The date was fixed.

The venue was fixed.

The former students

Were excited to the core

To meet their peers

To meet their soul mates.

Finally,

The day of the reunion arrived.

The happy minds

Got exhilarated seeing their batch mates.

The backbenchers talked about their fun times.

The frontbenchers talked about their sleepless nights.

The long lost lovers cherished their memories.

The all-time rivals laughed remembering their silly fights.

The school shined with the alma mater stars

Who reached various heights and also who didn’t

But in this space,

Differences didn’t matter

It was all about the ecstasy.

It was all about the reminiscence.

Life moved on

But the thrill that day gave

Never left their minds.

It gave the alum

Bright hopes and happy dreams.

Cherish the moments like these

Of your life

Cause life never offers you

A second chance.

Live with enthusiasm

Love with passion

Work with motivation

And walk with elation.
